It is of the utmost importance to The Shredders to protect the documents that are entrusted to us. We have implemented safety procedures, such as locking all bins prior to leaving your facility, arming our vehicles and shredding without sorting material. We have extensive background checks on all individuals who handle your material, both in our plant and on the road. We digitally record all activity in the plant and hold the tapes for one year.
The Shredders will not disclose, divulge, reveal, report or use, for any purpose, any confidential information which we have obtained with respect to the customer, except under legal compulsion.
The Shredders will restrict access to any documents except to those people who need to perform our normal pick up and shredding process.
The Shredders will exercise the same degree of care it uses to protect its own proprietary information or trade secrets in safeguarding the information of our customers against loss, theft, or other inadvertent disclosure.
